Delta Police Loose Two Rifles To Bandits

BENIN CITY – An unidentified bandits on Saturday night attacked a police inspector and two rank and files officers attached to Delta State police command,  Asaba, and carted away two AK47 rifles.

The Police Offers, according to source, were at Inter-bau roundabout by ASCON Oil fuel station in Asaba, where two of them were macheted by the bandits to a coma

It was gathered that the victims sustained deep machete cuts from the hoodlums who allegedly disarmed two of the police officers.

It was further learnt that the bandits attacked the the Police men soon after the Police Patrol Van left the scene on that fateful night.

The source stated that the hoodlums attacked them with machete when they the least expected any enemy arround, even one of the victims, Inspector Francis whose gun was allegedly snatched was said to be surprised Over the incident.

Police source hinted thst the officers with severe injuries were taken to undisclosed hospital for medical attention.

When contacted,  Delta State Commissioner of Police, Adeyinka Adeleke who was economical with words over what transpired said non of his men died in the incident....
